Singleton Associates is a sub-specialized group of over 50 Board Certified Radiologists with expertise in all diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic modalities for both adult and pediatric patients. We provide radiology services for the St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital and Texas Children's Health Care Systems in the greater Houston area, Sugarland, and The Woodlands, Texas.

Our comprehensive imaging services include cardiovascular MR and CT, Three Dimensional 64 Slice CT, three Tesla MRI Magnets, Virtual Colonscopy, Musculoskeletal MRI, Radiofrequency Ablation, Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), and Kyphoplasty; also known as Vertebroplasty.

Singleton Associates radiologists offer minimally invasive procedures and treatments. Our neuro -interventional radiologists offer a wide variety of minimally invasive interventional procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and neurovascular disease. The introduction of Multi-slice Computed Tomography (MSCT) provides a non-invasive imaging of the coronary and peripheral arteries. We use minimally invasive interventional procedures for the treatment of certain cancers. These include chemoembolization and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). Chemoembolization is a combination of local delivery of chemotherapy as well as procedure called embolization which traps the chemotherapeutic agent inside the tumor. Our interventional radiologists use a minimally invasive procedure for vertebral compression fractures known as Vertebroplasty. Compression fractures are a common symptom of osteoporosis, which is a loss of the normal bone density.

The American College of Radiology recognized our Women’s Imaging Center as a “Breast Imaging Center of Excellence”. We are the only provider of Pediatric Neuroradiologist and Pediatric Interventional Radiologist in Houston.

Singleton radiologists use several different imaging modalities including mammography, ultrasound and MRI to evaluate the breasts. Generally, mammography is used as the initial screening test.

Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) is a nonsurgical alternative for the alleviation of symptoms caused by uterine fibroids. It has been shown to be extremely effective in controlling heavy bleeding resulting from uterine fibroids as well as control bulk symptoms related to uterine fibroids. These symptoms include frequent urination, constipation, back pain and pelvic pressure.

The neuro -interventional radiologists at Singleton Associates offer a wide variety of minimally invasive interventional procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and neurovascular disease. Since the turn of the 19th century, cardiovascular disease has become the number one killer in the United States. Many modalities are available for the assessment of coronary artery disease (CAD). These include treadmill exercise stress test, stress echocardiography and nuclear myocardial perfusion study. Adenosine stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging is also a recent modality for the assessment of CAD. The introduction of Multi-slice Computed Tomography (MSCT) now allows non-invasive imaging of the coronary and peripheral arteries.

Singleton Associates offers minimally invasive interventional procedures for the treatment of certain cancers. These include chemoembolization and radio-frequency ablation (RFA). Chemoembolization is a combination of local delivery of chemotherapy as well as procedure called embolization which traps the chemotherapeutic agent inside the tumor. Chemoembolization is used most commonly for the treatment of hepatocellualar carcinoma (primar liver cancer). However, it can also be used to treat cancers that have spread from other parts of body (breast, colon, etc) to the liver. Radio-frequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive imaged guided procedure that uses a probe advanced into a cancer. The probe can be advanced into the tumor under guidance from ultrasound or CT. Once inside the tumor, the probe is heated by electrical current. The heat destroys the tumor. RFA can be used to treatment primary tumors of the liver, lung and kidneys as well as metastasis to these organs. To learn more about chemoembolization and radio-frequency ablation, click below.

Vertebral compression fractures are fractures of the bones that make up the spinal column often resulting in severe and debilitating pain. Compression fractures are a common symptom of osteoporosis which is a loss of the normal bone density. Vertebroplasty is a minimally invasive procedure for vertebral compression fractures. It involves placing a hollow needle under imaging guidance into the fractured vertebra followed by the injection of cement like material. Our radiologists at Singleton Associates have many years of experience.
